Examine Your Flock

Do your friends push you closer to or pull you away from God?

This is an important question you must ask yourself about the people that you surround yourself with. It is a proven fact that who you spend the most of your time with will eventually influence the things you say and do. Have you ever heard that phrase, "birds of a feather flock together?" Examine your flock. If they do not look like Jesus, it is time to find a new crowd.

As a child of God, you need Godly friendships in your life that will
-Encourage you in your relationship with God
-Challenge you to go deeper in your walk with God
-Encourage you to embrace Godly qualities (integrity, purity, kindness, etc.)
-Hold you accountable to a life that honors God
-Be honest with you about areas of your life that are not God-honoring

If you do not have any friends that meet the above criteria, do not fret! Pray and ask God to bring good Godly women into your life. As you go through your day, take action by being the type of friend you want to attract. Say "please" and "thank you" to a neighbor, or say "hello" to a young lady you have never met. Do your best, and God will do the rest.
